The v7 of the SPS MBI Calibration function improves upon the v6 by fixing the 3 points at LHC flat top (close to 5800 A) to straighten the flattop.

MBA calibration function

The SPS MBI measurements from the B-Train are averaged measurements from MBA and MBB magnets. Hence the calibration function for the magnets are different.

Taking the previous calibration function and applying the transformation 1.0015 * calibration_fn - 1.8e-3 to achieve a more symmetric calibration function.

Note that the data is extremely noisy and it is impossible to distinguish individual field lines without aggressive filtering.

v8

The v8 calibration function adds 10 points between 4810 A and 4825 A for Interpolating predicted fields at SFT flat top.

Originally, the calibration function was exported with zero decimals on the current axis, which caused in incorrect calculation of the field residual when training the TFTMBI-174 and TFTMBI-175 models for the Dedicated MD 2025-07-23.
