When fitting models to simulated data, it is in our case important to be aware of which types of cycles, or which shapes the cycles have in reality. This is because in an ideal case, we can simulate any waveforms, however to limit ourselves to a subset of shapes that we know are present in the final task, we can bias the model in this direction.
