Nuno is modeling permeameter data with degaussing cycles (trapezoidal with decreasing magnitude) for his master thesis, I suggested PhyLSTM to use. LSTMs and transformers don’t work so well. But for his case he could take one point per plateau to model hysteresis instead of the whole time series.
