Measurements
Sensors capturing data:
- Hall sensor
- Placed in the longitudinal center (more or less) of the magnet
- Fluxmeter 1
- Fluxmeter 2
- Temperature sensor 1
- Placed next to the hall sensor, to measure the temperature of the iron core.
- Temperature sensor 2
- Placed on the copper coil outside of the magnet, to measure its temperature.
- Current

Postprocessing
Use kalman filter to do postprocessing and fuse Hall sensor data with each Fluxmeter data.
The hall sensors do not experience as much eddy current effects as the eddy currents are mainly in the ends of the magnets. The hall sensor measurement is also very noisy, while the fluxmeter measurements are relatively noise-free, with low frequency waves coming mainly from the power converter ripples.
We will not be able to calculate the between the two fluxmeters because of the differing coil geometries.
We also need to convert temperature sensor voltage to absolute temperature (C).
Python Packge
I have developed the mm-analysis package to read in FFMM measurements, and run kalman filter on it.
